The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) is responsible for identifying and developing the high potential industry sectors as well as formulating and implementing international trade policies and safeguarding Malaysia's international trade and investment interests. MITI spearheads five major agencies in Malaysia; the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysian Industrial Development Finance (MIDF), National Productivity Corporation (NPC) and Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC).

MATRADE is the external trade promotion arm of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, represented by 34 offices in major cities around the world. Under the MATRADE-MIHAS Incoming Buying Mission (IBM) Programme, more than 500 international buyers are flown in from around the world to converge at MIHAS to establish business relationships with halal producers and MIHAS participants. It is through these business meetings that MATRADE plays a key role in ensuring that MIHAS remains the ultimate trading platform for halal products and services.

The Islamic Dakwah Foundation Malaysia (YADIM) is a trustee foundation which reports directly to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Seri Abdullah Hj. Ahmad Badawi. In keeping with its efforts to infuse and incorporate Islamic values into national progress and development, YADIM actively promotes halal as a way of life through MIHAS in collaboration with INDAH PROFILES SDN. BHD.

The Ministry of Entrepreneur and Co-operative Development (MECD) is the central agency dedicated towards developing and nurturing indigenous and cooperative entrepreneurs in Malaysia. MIHAS offers MECD the most dynamic platform from which it can strengthen and consolidate the entrepreneurial skills and marketing potential of Malaysian entrepreneurs.
