The concept of halal production takes into account elements beyond the standard processes of farm to table. It includes the sources of which money flows to support the production of halal goods. While the importance of this concept is not yet fully realised, it will only be a matter of time before it becomes a reality.

In realising this possibility, MIHAS has from its inaugural show in 2004 introduced the Islamic financial and Takaful sector in its exhibitors profile. Therefore, MIHAS 2009 continues to welcome financial institutions, Islamic insurance and Islamic investment agencies to present their products and services in support of a more dynamic Halal marketplace.
